Advanced Problem Solving LLC (APS) seeks a project manager with a background in instructional design who can coordinate several cross-functional teams working on multiple projects.
This is a new and significant role. The successful candidate will be part of an expanding team of instructional designers, course developers, videographers, and other specialists. S/he will assist the team in documenting work and processes; engage in capacity planning, including assessing workload to ensure that resources are fully utilized; and standardize milestones wherever possible.
In addition to working with our team, the successful candidate will represent APS to our clients. The ideal candidate will therefore be based in the greater Los Angeles area, thereby facilitating interaction with our multiple LA-based clients.
APS is an education technology firm. We serve public agencies and large private entities with specialized online training tools and compelling instructional content. We occupy a niche market addressing the needs of highly demanding clients seeking customized solutions for specific problems. For more information see our website
( http://www.advancedproblemsolving.org ).
For many of our clients APS serves as a consultant custom training company. Such clients include Toyota Motors North America, the State of California, and the Los Angeles Area Fire Chiefs Association (LAAFCA, an umbrella group representing 30 different southern California-based fire departments). We also expect to begin additional work shortly with the emergency medical services community.
